PNG LAUNCH NEW GENERATION TOYOTA COASTER BUS
On the 23/02/2017 Ela Motors PNG launch the new generation Toyota Coaster Bus to the market, the launching was conducted at Waigani Dealership, a total of 210 guests attended the launch event.
Ela Motors CEO Mr. Takeshi Abe open the event by welcoming the guests and thanking the customers for their support throughout the years, Mr Abe added today Ela Motors is proud to introduce the new NG Coaster bus to the market, it started off in 1981 when Toyota Engineers tested the coaster bus in the Highland Region of PNG driving the bus from Hagen to Tari, after the test data were collected to enhanced the coaster bus design to suit PNG road conditions. Mr Abe san was also proud to tell the guests that Ela motors sell average of 600+ Coaster buses per year & Toyota Japan has Toyota Coaster Bus assembly-line to manufacture Coaster Bus for PNG specification.
Ela Motors invited chief Guest His Excellency Satoshi Nakajima Ambassador of Japan to the launch, he express thanks to PNG & Ela Motors for trusting in Japanese product & the Toyota Coaster bus is one of the product has evolved throughout the years and today we celebrating the release of the new NG Coaster bus to the market in PNG.
Amongst distinguished guests, we were also delighted to have the Deputy Chairman of Road Authority & General Secretary of PMV Association of PNG, Mr. John Rex Makao, whom spoke highly of Ela Motors contribution to the development of this country and acknowledge the company for its continuous efforts though there was a down turn in PNG economy, Ela Motors continues to introduce new products showing that the company has confidence in the PNG economy.
During the launch POM Dealership sold 3 new Coaster buses & Waigani Dealership sold a unit, the guests enjoyed the evening & added the launch event was well organised and informative as they learnt the history of Coaster bus & how it has evolved through the years.
